FLY TIPPING

Fly Tipping Removal

Fly tipping is the illegal disposal of waste, such as household rubbish, construction waste, or industrial waste, in a place that is not designated for waste disposal, such as on public land, private land, or even in waterways. Fly tipping is a serious environmental issue that can cause harm to the environment, wildlife, and human health. It is also costly for local authorities to clean up and can result in fines and legal action for those responsible.

What to do with Fly Tipping?

Report the fly tipping to Holywell Skips or the local council:
Provide as much detail as possible about the location and nature of the waste.

Stay safe:
Do not touch or attempt to remove the waste yourself as it may contain hazardous materials such as asbestos, needles, or chemicals. Stay away from the area and keep children and pets away too.

Wait for instructions: Once you have reported the fly tipping, we and the local council or environmental agency will provide instructions on what to do next. They may send a team to remove the waste or provide advice on how to remove it safely. We'll be ready to remove this if actioned to do so.

Dispose of the waste properly: If you are instructed to remove the waste yourself, you must dispose of it properly. Holywell Skips is a licensed waste carrier that will collect and dispose of the waste for you.

Remember, fly tipping is illegal and can harm the environment and people's health.
